I chaired an event last week where John Healey, Labour’s shadow secretary of state for health, told us that our NHS services in Tower Hamlets will face cuts of around £20 million over the next three years.  The money that Labour put in to tackle the impact of deprivation is being targeted, so whilst we will lose out, more affluent areas will get

We have our own local challenges, with enormous structural change being pushed on us by the Tories in primary care commissioning, and our acute trusts merging.  As chair of health scrutiny on the council I’m working to make people’s voices heard as change develops.  The Labour Party in Tower Hamlets will continue to campaign to protect our services –  watch this space.
